Pairing: Canon, although Buffy and Giles are a little more forthcoming with each other than they usually are on the show.
Spoilers: 'Becoming'
Summary: Giles bails out of the hospital and goes looking for Buffy.
Author's Notes: As illogical as it may be, I'm going with canon as far as what injuries were done to Giles, Buffy, Willow and Xander in 'Becoming'(everyone out of the hospital in hours or perhaps a day). In the third season Giles tells Buffy that Angelus tortured him 'for hours, for pleasure' but, given Angelus' proclivities, I don't want to go there. I lifted a moment from 'Anne' and plopped it down here - it was too pivotal a concept for me to ignore. [ ] means thoughts. * * for emphasis.

That's right -- not only did Trish derail my train of thought, she sent it plummeting into a ravine! She is an evil, evil woman but if you like this fic you have her to thank for it.



Deja Vu
Rating: FRT - A couple of British cuss words, mention of suicide and mention of the desecration of a corpse. No gory details. Nothing you haven't seen or heard if you watch the show.
Pairing: Buffy/Giles - Close friendship, mutual caring.
Spoilers: Passion, Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie (sort of)
Summary: Buffy is more deeply affected by the events in the Season 2 episode 'Passion' than was depicted on the show. Giles, concerned for her health and safety and their relationship, confronts her.
Thanks: Thanks to Diana, whoever you are for the challenge. I hope this is something close to what you wanted. I know I enjoyed writing the story. I added one line of dialogue to the end of the scene outside the burning warehouse in 'Passion' and have probably taken serious liberties with the movie. I only saw it once, years ago.
Author's Note: This was a half realized story of mine, written in a vague outline form with a little dialogue, when I read a challenge on the Watching You, Watching Me website.



Healing
Rating: FRT - Some bad language and angst.

Summary: Buffy and Giles both took a beating in 'Helpless'. They definitely need to help each other pick up the pieces.
Author's Notes: Timing: Season 3 - starts near the end of 'Helpless'. I changed Buffy's attire from what she actually wore in the episode and took some liberties with the dialogue to suit my purpose. [ ] means thoughts. * * for emphasis.



I'm A What!?
Rating: FRM - Juvenile obsession with body parts and bodily fluids, some squicky demon behavior – think medium-raunchy South Park.

Summary: What possible threat could a two foot tall demon with four itty-bitty teeth pose to our heroic Slayer? Perhaps we should be more concerned about Giles' blood pressure.
Author's Notes: Timing: Season 2 – Some time after `Puppet Show' but before 'Surprise'. So this is my change-up pitch: a silly fic with a beverage warning throughout. Just to be safe, you might want to move all liquids a meter or so away from your computer - I don't believe in half measures ;>

Summary: Spike seems to lurk outside Buffy's house a great deal. This time it isn't Buffy he has a heart-to-heart with. Buffy returns from seeing Angel in the mood to offer up some straight talk of her own.
Author's Note: If you can't abide the idea of Buffy and Giles and `smoochies' in the same sentence, read something else. I assume there was an Angel episode after Flooded in which Buffy appeared of which I am, and intend to remain, blissfully ignorant. Creative license taken by the author as to what happened for this story to work.

Rating: FRM, mostly for language and sexual innuendo; after all, we have Anya and Al Calavicci in the same story!
Pairing: Buffy/Sam Beckett/Giles but it's not as kinky as it sounds.
Spoilers: End of Season 5
Summary: This is a response to B/G Writer's Muse Challenge #44 by Luisa - 'BtVS/Quantum Leap Crossover'
Author's Note: Since Quantum Leap was set in the 'future' of the late '90s and Sam only leaped back to the past and late S5 of BtVS was set in 2001 I'm going to resolve the time dilemma by saying that Sam Beckett Leaped for the first time in 2005 so anything before that is 'the past', from the perspective of the QL Project, and therefore fair game. If you didn't understand that you're probably not familiar with Quantum Leap and you'll be hopelessly lost. Sorry. I hope anyone who's still with me will enjoy the story. Also, I deviated from the challenge slightly by starting a month before 'The Gift' (instead of 1 to 2 weeks) because I needed a period of time that was a little less frenetic and doom-ridden in order to develop my plot.



The Right Thing
Rating: FRM - for heavy duty, industrial-strength angst.
Pairing: Buffy/Giles Cannon/Gen
Spoilers: 'Beauty and the Beasts'
Summary: What if Buffy told Giles about Angel's return?
Author's Notes: Timing: Season 3, smack dab in the middle of 'Beauty and the Beasts', the same day as the conversation between Giles and Buffy after he found her sleeping in the library.
