Author's Notes: This fic is set in late summer 1993; Giles has finished his advanced degrees and Council training though his
status within the ranks of Watchers is rather murky for reasons that become clear later. For now he is continuing to work at the Council
in a research capacity. He hasn't yet started at the British Museum. Italics represent either dream sequence/flashback or emphasis.
