__How's England?__
By Monique and David Barton

Dear Giles,

How's England? Is it raining? Did you see your family
yet?

Everything's fine here. Same old Sunnydale. Here a
demon, there a demon.. everywhere a demon. But as
usual, Buffy done them in. Heehee... sorry... I just
watched "My Fair Lady" last night. I love that movie.
I know, I know... I can almost hear you. "It's no
Pygmalion. Shaw would spin his grave, not literally,
of course..."

I miss you. But then you know that, don't you? But
just in case you forgot, I thought I'd say it again. I
miss you.

I know you don't want to hear this, or read it, but I
wish you hadn't gone. I know Buffy needs you. She just
couldn't say it. I think she let you go, didn't say
anything, because she loves you and wants you to be
happy. And well, Sunnydale isn't the best place for
that. Not that I didn't want you to be happy too. I
do. More than anything. But I thought you might be
happy here... Wow, I'm really ramblie now.

All I really wanted to say is that I hope you're
having a great time being at home. And if you should
change your mind, just remember, there will always be
a light on here for you.

Your friend,
Willow

Dear Willow,

England is fine and raining up a storm. I think living
in California for the better part of four years has
made me appreciate the sun a little too much.

Sadly, my brother's address has come up a complete
blank. Still, it was a little out of date. I have a
few loose ends to try yet... I'll keep you updated and
let you know when I find him.

How is college? Are you and Buffy coping acceptably
with your classes? The course work, in particular. How
is Xander? Have you run into any particuarly
noteworthy creatures? Were the books I gave you
adequate for research purposes, or will you require
more?

Has Buffy been training properly with Riley? She has a
tendency to ignore her basic moves in favour of
anything involving a back flip, or a forward roll.
Especially when she has young men to impress.

You are not drawing me into a discussion on my Fair
Lady. You're not.

Although, why a capable actor like Rex Harrison would
attach his name to such, such... a hack work is beyond
me. And they butchered the ending too.

Damn. You did it again.

Willow, I miss you too. As I miss Buffy, Xander, and
the others, of course. I know, that in the long run,
this is for the best. But I do miss all of you, quite
dearly. What I'm especially missing are the early
evening discussions. I haven't quite found anyone near
your level of... sheer stubborness, when it comes to
debate. I miss reseraching together, too. There are
rather a lot of things, I miss.

However, I definitely did the right thing in leaving
Sunnydale. And not just because Buffy had outgrown my
care. I think, this will be the best for all of us.
It'll give you all a chance to grow without a scowling
Englishman around. I was staying in Sunnydale more and
more for my own reasons. It was sheer, sheer
foolishness on my part ...and selfish. I did the right
thing in leaving.

One thing. Willow... About the ramblies, as you call
them. Please feel free to. It give your notes a
certain quality that is very you. I miss that. It is
very nice, to hear from you again. You have certainly
brightened up my day.

Being back In England is, different. Once I'm settled
in, I'm sure I'll feel right as rain again. Rest
assured... if I do decide to go home, well... I'll
head straight for that light!

Your friend,
Rupert Giles.

P.S. Please let me know if you require anything. I am
always here for you, Willow.
